Diabetes Basics – Strategies For Type 2 Diabetes Management

type 2 diabetes No Comments »

All types of diabetes are associated with out-of-range blood sugar levels. But, type 2 diabetes is a progressive disorder that can cause severe damage to several body organ systems. So, it is essential to have a strategic approach to successful diabetes management. It is necessary to all diabetes types. But, since 90% of patients suffer from type 2 diabetes, you must create an efficient strategy as soon as you are diagnosed with it.

Understanding type 2 diabetes:

There are different types of diabetes. Thus, you must understand this type of diabetes thoroughly before designing suitable strategies. At times, people do not see much difference in these types of diabetes. Type 1 and type 2 diabetes are considerably different from one another. The primary difference between type 1 and type 2 diabetes is the age of onset of the disorder in patients and the amount of insulin produced. Type 1 diabetes occurs in children due to sudden discontinuation of insulin production. However, type 2 diabetes occurs in adults due to gradual resistance to insulin. But, these different types of diabetes have a distinct impact on a body. Type 2 diabetes is harder to diagnose. It is gradual and progressive in nature, while symptoms of type 1 are more drastic and relatively rare.

Explore the strategies:

For treatment of type2 diabetes, you need a five-pronged strategic effort.

Diabetic diet and exercise: Diabetics must aim for 30 minutes of aerobic exercises that you can enjoy. Most people get this type of diabetes due to a sedentary lifestyle. You do not need to be a calorie counter. But, you must follow a low GI diet, designed by a nutritionist.

Medication: Some people can control blood sugar levels with a diabetic diet and exercise alone. However, most diabetics need medication. Some can limit medication to the intake of oral medicine that improves the sensitivity of body tissue to insulin. Others have to take oral medication that encourages the body to produce more insulin. Insulin injections are given to patients if all these medications fail to control blood sugar levels.

Mind and body: You will need to lose weight and maintain it within a healthy range to live a healthy and active life with diabetes. However, your mind plays a role too. Any stress can lead to a higher blood sugar levels. So, a diabetic must develop certain stress reducing techniques. For example, deep breathing, meditation, music, etc. That is more suitable for a diabetic than stress eating.

Check yourself: Type 2 diabetes is known as one of the silent killers due to its progressive nature. It can easily lead to kidney failure, heart disease or vision loss. A simple foot injury can lead to gangrene and amputation. So, you must check blood sugar level frequently. You must measure the impact of blood sugar on organ systems quarterly or bi-annually. This will assist you with early diagnosis and effective treatment.

Implement these strategies with a recommendation from a diabetes specialist. All the best, diabetics!

Two Classic Types of Diabetes Patients

I have received three diabetic patients recently. All of these three patients are relatives to one of my friends. He works as a registration agent with us.The patients are his mother,his uncle and his father in law.

His mother is 56 years old and has been living with diabetes for the past 2 years.Half a month ago, I sent her a 2 months supply of GlucoNature. My friend called to tell me that GlucoNature is really helping and his mother feels much better as most of her diabetes symptoms have disappeared.

.His uncle and his father in law also have diabetes. One day, he invited them to my office for a consultation.

His uncle is 54 years old and is currently working in a personnel bureau.He has been living with diabetes for the past 10 years and has struggled to control his diabetes. He failed to follow the recommended diet because it was impossible for him to incorporate it in his lifestyle and the demands of the job of a civil servant. He ignored the doctor’s advice on taking his medication strictly on time. Once in a while, he would take it, but in most cases he would just forget about it.

His present body condition is alright,considering his desease. He suffers from a little higher blood sugar level but he has the energy to work, to live and be active. After conducting an overall check, I told him that he has an early stage of diabetes though he has been diagnosed with the desease more than 10 years ago. In fact I even advised him agains taking GlucoNature. Instead, I recommended him a certain kind of tea product which would help him control the diabetes for the rest of his life.

My friend’s father in law, on the other hand, is currently 60 years old and is retired. He has had diabetes for the past 10 years as well. During these years, he followed the doctor’s advice strictly – he never touched foods and drinks with sugar, took melbine etc. He was also taking injection of insulin to support his life. The medications would often make him very weak, his face would be pale and sometimes he would even be struggling to walk by himself. For instance, when he came into my office, he was being helped by his daughter in law. I advised him to only use two months treatment of GlucoNature. After the two months period, we could then offer him an individual treatment base on an comprehensive plan. In fact, to treat him was very difficult indeed.

There is a very big difference between the cases described above,especially the ones who followed the doctor’s advise and the other one who never followed strictly the prescribed treatment. It tells us that Glucose is a priority importance for most diabetic people and yet it only controls blood sugar level without providing solution for the rest of the body’s functions which defeats the purpose in a way.

GlucoNature has complete service system, including Qingdao HESHOUTANG International TCM Treatment Center for individual treatment plan by TCM way, HESHOUTANG BBS where customers can submit questions to get help during taking GlucoNature!

for quick results on how to treat diabetes, use Gluconature NOT chemicals, this is a herbal formula in form of vegetable capsules http://www.gluconature.blogspot.com

Get Smart: How to Manage Type 1 Diabetes

diabetes No Comments »

This introductory article conveys a holistic understanding of type 1 diabetes and its treatment. So, explore the core fundamentals of this ailment in order to find the best way to manage it.

What is Type 1 Diabetes mellitus?

It is commonly known as a juvenile diabetes. This type of diabetes is relatively rare and commonly occurs in small children. There are different types of diabetes. Type 1 diabetes occurs in 5 -10% of the population while type 2 diabetes occurs in 90% of the population. Type 1 and type 2 diabetes are distinct in several aspects. The primary difference in type 1 and type 2 diabetes is the intensity. The beta cells in a pancreas get attacked by white blood cells and, therefore, stop the production of insulin in type 1 diabetes. Due to unhealthy diet and lifestyle, body develops a gradual resistance to insulin, thus, the reduced quantity of insulin becomes ineffective in sugar management in type 2 diabetes.

What is a treatment for type 1 diabetes?

The four pillars of treatment for this type of diabetes are:

* Insulin injection and other medication: Most type 1 diabetes patients need an insulin injection or an insulin pump for maintaining enough insulin in a body. Different types of insulin are available for the diabetics. i.e. rapid-acting insulin, long-acting insulin, intermediate options, etc. So, as per recommendation of your diabetes specialist, you will need to take insulin.

* Diet management: Different types of diabetes offer a different leeway for sugar cravings and indulgences. Type 2 patients can have more leeway than type 1 patients because of some amount of insulin produced, in their body. So, a diabetic diet is designed for a healthy balance of nutrients as per activity, age, schedule and personal choices. Type 1 diabetics must adhere to this customized diabetic diet plan.

* Blood sugar monitoring: A body of type 1 diabetic produces zero or little insulin. So, careful monitoring is the only way to maintain blood sugar levels within target range. Unpredictable rise and fall in blood sugar is seen in spite of strict adherence to medication and diet. This type of diabetes remains unpredictable. Thus, frequent monitoring during a day is vital.

* Risk management: Certain factors can increase the risk of diabetes. This is applicable to all types of diabetes. But, few are more pertinent to type 1 diabetes; smoking, drinking, etc. However, a diabetic must remain cautious while doing important activities like driving or working. This is more pertinent to this type of diabetes due to unanticipated and sudden fluctuations in blood sugar levels.

In conclusion, all types of diabetes require restraint, but, different diabetes types require different treatment for successful management. It is possible to live an active life with type 1 diabetes. But complications are much higher in pregnancy as is the risk of high blood pressure and cholesterol problems.

What are endocrine diseases
Endocrinology deals with endocrine system, its diseases, and its specific secretions called hormones. Endocrine diseases are disorders of the endocrine system. The endocrine system is a complex group of glands (organs that make hormones). These are substances that help to control activities in your body. The glands that make up the endocrine system include the thyroid, parathyroid, pancreas, ovaries, testes, adrenal, pituitary and hypothalamus. The endocrine system consists of several glands in different parts of the body that secrete hormones directly into the blood. Hormones have many different functions and modes of action.
Endocrine diseases can be divided into three groups:
1) Endocrine gland hypo secretion(leads to hormone deficiency)
2) Endocrine gland hyper secretion(leads to hormone excess)
3) Tumors of endocrine glands (benign or malignant)

Endocrinologists diagnose diseases that affect your glands and treat hormone imbalances. It is done by helping to restore the normal balance of hormones in the endocrine system. Your primary health adviser refers you to an endocrinologist when you have a problem with your endocrine system. Some endocrine disorders include:
* Diabetes
* Thyroid diseases
* Metabolic disorders
* Hypertension
* Over or under production of hormones
* Menopause
* Cancers of endocrine glands
* Cholesterol disorders
* Lack of growth
* Osteoporosis
* Infertility
In several cases, endocrine disorders may be symptomless or mild enough to not require any treatment. When symptoms of endocrine disorders are severe, they can usually be treated by correcting the hormone imbalance. This is performed by means of synthetic hormone administration. In cases such as prolactinoma, surgery or radiation therapy may be used.

How To Manage Type 1 And Type 2 Diabetes With Herbal Remedies?

type 2 diabetes No Comments »

Generally, people with diabetes either face a total lack of insulin, which is called as type-1 diabetes or they have very little insulin secretion and this type is called as type-2 diabetes. In the second type, their body will not be in a position to use the insulin effectively as well. Here is what happens in both these types:

1. In type 1, the immune system of the body will destroy the cells that engage in the release of insulin. This in turn will destroy the insulin production from the body completely. When there is no insulin secretion, the cells will not be in a position to absorb the glucose, which is important for production of energy in the body.

2. In the case of type 2, it can develop at any age and it is most commonly experienced during adulthood. But, the incidence of this is increasing among children these days. In this type, the body will not be in a position to use the insulin right away. This is termed as insulin resistance. As this condition can worse, the pancreas can produce only lesser insulin as years pass by and this is termed as insulin deficiency.

It becomes important that patients facing any of this type should look for how to manage type-1 and type-2 diabetes.

How are these two types different from each other?

Type 1: In the case of this, the symptoms will generally start in childhood or in young adulthood days itself. Generally, people will notice this condition due to sudden illness that is caused due to spike in blood sugar level. In this type, episodes of low blood sugar level, which is otherwise called as hypoglycemia is common and the worst thing about this type is that it cannot be prevented.

Type 2: Before diagnosing this, there will not be any symptoms recognized by patients. It is generally identified in adulthood, but as mentioned earlier, children these days are also diagnosed of this condition. There will not be any episodes of low sugar unless the patient takes insulin or other medicines. This type can be prevented with diet and healthy lifestyle like exercising regularly, eating sensibly and maintaining healthy weight.

For both these types, patients should look for how to manage type 1 and type 2 diabetes. The great news that awaits patients who are looking for the best management of this diabetes and for those looking to prevent type-2 diabetes is that there are herbal remedies to manage diabetes.

Men and women searching the internet for finding answer to the question ‘how to manage type 1 and type 2 diabetes’ will come across details about herbal remedies to manage diabetes and these herbal remedies are called as Diabec capsules.
